ગુરૂજી અમે તો તમારા શરણમાં
સમર્પ્યું છે જીવન તમારા ચરણમાં

ત્રિતાપે તપેલા, ભૂલેલા ભટકતા
આવી ચઢયા શ્રી ગુરૂના ચરણમાં
બચાવો...ઉગારો...ગુરૂજી અમોને...

ભૂલોને ભૂલીને લઈ લેજો અંકે
ભરી દર્દ દિલ આ સદા કાજ ઝંખે
સ્વીકારી...સજાવો....અમારા જીવનને....

સ્વજન ને સખા સત્ય સ્વામી અમારા
તમે દેવના દેવ સાથી છો ન્યારા
રહેજો....અહર્નિશ....અમારા હૃદયમાં...

Beloved Guruji! I have taken refuge unto you
I have surrendered my life at Your blessed feet

I'm scorched from worldly sufferings;
I'm lost and roaming
I've found shelter at your blessed feet
Save me…liberate me…my Beloved Guruji

Forgive my wrongdoings
Take me into Your abode
My remorseful heart pines for You
Accept me...adorn me…my Beloved Guruji

You are my friend,
my relative, my Master;
You are the kindest of companions
Stay with me ...forever…my Beloved Guruji

રચના સમયના મનોભાવો

પૃથ્વી ઉપર આંખ ઉઘાડીએ ત્યારથી જ જીવનના ત્રિતાપો વળગે છે. ભૂલોની પરંપરાઓ સર્જાય છે. અહીં તહીં ભટકવામાં જીવન શરૂ થાય છે. એક દિવસ પૂર્ણ પણ બને છે.

તો એવા વાતાવરણમાં શ્રી ગુરૂનું શરણ લઈએ. તેમને વિનંતી કરીએ કે અમારી ભૂલોને ભૂલીને અમને સ્વીકારી લો, અમારા સ્વજન બનીને અમારી સાથે જ રહો. ગુરૂના શ્રી ચરણે આવી વિનંતી થઈ.

From the moment we open our eyes in this world, we start committing innumerable mistakes. Worldly suffering begins and so does our journey of roaming from here to there. It all continues unabated until the day when life ceases.

On this tiring, scorching and burning path let us take refuge at our Beloved Guruji's lotus feet. Let us plead with Him to forgive our wrong doings. Let's pray Him to accept us as His own and stay with us forever.

With such noble and heartfelt prayers this bhajan was born. When this bhajan was created, its tune and words echoed in my mind for countless days.
