મને પ્રેમદિવાની બનાવો હરિ, મારી માંગણી આજ સ્વીકારો હરિ... જીવન જંગના વિધ વિધ ક્ષેત્રે મસ્તી જગાડો તવ ચરણે...મને.... જીવનભરનો થાક ઊતારો, આવીને મીઠી છાંય ધરો...મને.... પાપ ને પુણ્યના ભેદ મિટાવી, પરમ પવિત્ર બનાવી દો...મને... અનંતના હે યાત્રી મારા, સાથી બનીને આવો જરી...મને... ચિંતાની ચપલા છો ચમકે, વિપત્તિની વર્ષા વરસે..મને... રામ બનીને ઘનશ્યામ બનીને, અખંડ ચૂડી ધરજો મને....મને... ------- O My Lord! Infatuate me with your Divine Love I implore You, My Lord, listen to my prayer!   The face of life has multiple horizons, hence Awaken passion only at Your Threshold…Infatuate me   Disrobe my life’s age-old exhaustion and Offer me Your protective shield…Infatuate me   Eliminate the duality of right and wrong and Instill in me Divine Purity…Infatuate me   Oh My Eternal Crusader! Why're you waiting? Come! Be my companion…Infatuate me   In time of worries, in time of difficulties, Come! Be my companion…Infatuate me   Appear in the form of Ram or Krishna Embrace me with Your Protection…Infatuate me

રચના સમયના મનોભાવો

પ્રભુપ્રેમની મસ્તી જાગતાં ભક્તિ નિંદ્રા ઉપર વિજય મેળવીને રાતદિવસ મસ્તી અનુભવતો અને જાગ્રત જીવન જીવતો બની જાય છે. એ વાતો ધર્મગ્રંથોમાં વાંચેલી. શું એ વાત સાચી હશે ? એવી શંકાઓ પણ થયેલી. જીવનમાં રાતદિવસ થાક ,આળસ કે ઊંઘ વિના પ્રભુનું જ ભજન કરવાની લગની જ્યારે જાગી ઊઠી ત્યારે જ મને ધર્મગ્રંથોની વાત સાચી લાગી.અનુભવે એ સત્ય સમજાયું. આખા દિવસના શાળાના કાર્ય પછી રાત્રે પણ પ્રભુને પ્રાર્થનાથી જ રીઝવવાનું ગમવા લાગ્યું.ઊંઘ ઊડી ગઈ. સ્થૂળ શરીરનો થાક નહીં પણ જીવનનો થાક લાગવા માંડ્યો. એ થાકને મટાડવા મીઠી છાંયાની માંગણી શરૂ થઈ. મીંરાબાઈ જેવી પ્રેમદીવાની બની જાઉં. પરમ પવિત્ર બની જાઉં. જીવનના દરેક કાર્યમાં પ્રભુની મસ્તી અનુભવું. અને વિપત્તિની વર્ષાની વચ્ચે પણ વિપથગામી ન બનું એવી ભાવનાઓ દિલમાં જાગી ઊઠી. ભાવનાઓને અક્ષરદેહે ઊતારી, વારંવાર ગાઈ ગાઈને પ્રભુને કહી દેવાનું શરૂ થયું ત્યારે આવી આવી માંગણીઓ થયા કરતી. -------

It is written in religious scriptures that once love for the Divine is awakened the devotee can not sleep. He experiences Divine intoxication and lives every moment consciously. I doubted the truth behind such descriptions.  It was only when such intoxication awoke within me, that I realized it. I was no longer hindered by fatigue, laziness or sleep. Sleep disappeared. Even after an entire day's work at school, at night I enjoyed pleading my beloved Divine. It was not my body which felt fatigue anymore, it was life without the divine that made me weary. So I began calling the Divine…to remove my debility. I wanted to be infatuated with the Divine’s Love and wanted to be an idol of purity like Mirabai. I wanted to submerge in the Divine’s intoxication all the time. This prayer materialized with such feelings.
