ARGHYA

'Arghya' is Maa Sarveshwari's first collection of Bhajans - devotional songs. Writing bhajans was but natural for her. It can be said that she hasn't written the bhajans, rather bhajans automatically flowed from her within.

Maa Sarveshwari had an intense desire for the divine vision of God; an unquenchable thirst for His manifestation. During those days the intensity of her emotions assumed shape of these soul awakening calls. She has passed days and nights singing to these very tunes and has gained innumerable spiritual experiences as a result of these melodious prayers.

All her bhajans are written in Gujarati. For the benefit of a large audience we have put a few of them with an English meaning here. We have also incorporated the notes elaborating her feelings at the time of creation of these bhajans.

Maa Sarveshwari herself is an excellent singer. Her divine and heavenly voice take the listeners in an altogether different world. The beauty of these 'Songs of the Soul' can only be experienced by listening to them and that too in her own voice. We hope that Maa's innumerable followers would relish these majestic notes.
