Maa Sarveshwari
|
Spiritual
Progress |
|
Side by side, her duties as a
Principal remained unaltered. She started some strict disciplines such as
having water only after 250 beads of rosary. Once, she even put her slim
body to test by having only one bowl of milk for three months. Her daily
devotional offerings and worship went uninterrupted.
She started writing bhajans
spontaneously flowing from her within. She also began writing her daily
diary. She formed a habit of taking detailed notes of Shri Yogeshwarji's
lectures. She read biographies of leading spiritual personalities and gained
invaluable inspiration. Journey of her life now had only one direction, only
one destination - manifestation of the divine in the form of Yogeshwarji. |

Stay at Maun
Mandir |
|
During her school vacations,
her profound love and her intense yearning for the manifestation of the
Divine took her to the Mauna Mandir. A well known saint namely Pujya Mota
has established 'Maun Mandir' (Temple of Silence) on the banks of river Tapi
near Surat. Maa Sarveshwari used to lock herself up in the solitude of Maun
Mandir for 7, 14 or 21 days together. Besides frequent vision of divine
light, she had amazing spiritual experiences during her stay there. |
|
Spiritual initiation |
|
Maa Sarveshwari had an
opportunity to accompany Shri Yogeshwarji during his South India pilgrimage
along with other devotees. During the tour, her intense prayers were heard
and she was blessed by Yogeshwarji with an extraordinary diksha (spiritual
initiation) at Shrishilam, Mallikarjuna.
Consequent to this spiritual
initiation, the spiritual unfolding of her life became fast, natural and
unobstructed. Her life was subtly changed and became charged. An
inexhaustible heavenly flow rejuvenated her. |
|
Zambia Tour |
|
In 1978, Maa got an
opportunity to accompany Shri Yogeshwarji on his spiritual tour of Zambia on
the invitation of 'Hindu Association of Zambia'. She not only participated
actively but won the heart of all the people by her melodious bhajans and
display of yogic exercises. |

Morbi
Shibir & the New Name |
|
In May 1979, Meditation camp (shibir)
was organized at Morbi, a famous town of Suarastra. During the course of
that shibir, by the supreme command of mother goddess, Shri Yogeshwarji
conferred her the new name 'MAA SARVESHWARI'. All shibir participants
cheerfully greeted this new accolade. Thereafter, she became known with her
present name. |
