Maa Sarveshwari
|
The
fateful accident |
|
In the year 1998, on the
second day of Navratri, Maa set out for Ambaji from Vadodara. Just near
Mogar village of Kheda District, the car met with an accident. Accompanying
her, the devotee couple from Los Angeles and the driver had a miraculous
escape but Maa got innumerable injuries all over her body. She had multiple
fractures on both legs.
In state of such unbearable
pain, she was smiling and was even giving solace to the couple! She walked
out of the car without any support and sat in another vehicle on her own.
Later in the day, the doctor informed that she had multiple fractures! Her
vow of silence was not broken as not a single word or any verbal expression
came out! She accepted this plaster on both feet as 'Prabhu's Prasad' (Gift
of God).
As if these was not enough,
she insisted on doing her operation without any anesthesia and doctors had
to succumb to her wishes. This was the first case in their medical life and
they expected Maa at least to show off her pain on face but on the contrary
she smiled all the way!
Coming out of the operation
theatre the first task she did was to compose a bhajan! It was sufficient
proof, not only for the doctors but for everybody that Maa dwells in subtle
body through she apparently live in her physical frame. She proved that she
can go beyond body awareness and abides in pure consciousness all the while.
What a win over her body and senses! |

SWARGAROHAN |
|
Yogeshwarji resolved to build
a nice guesthouse for pilgrims in the memory of his mother, Mataji
Jyotirmayi. Yogeshwarji himself selected the land at Ambaji, a famous
pilgrim place of Goddess Amba in North Gujarat. On that barren piece of
land, Maa created a heavenly abode and named it SWARGAROHAN.
Today, it is the center stage
of all activities. A nice prayer hall named 'Yog Shaivalyam', a small kutiya
for meditation and a full fledged memorabilia of Yogeshwarji's life and
works namely YOG TIRTH, a dining Hall & various recreation facility for
children adorns Swargarohan amidst lush green trees. Thousands of devotees
from all over the globe flocks every year to feel the very divinity
manifested in the surroundings there. |

Benevolent Activities |
|
As is inherent with her name
and nature, Maa can not but help the poor, helpless, down trodden and
dejected. In 1978, Shri Yogeshwarji established Sarvamangal Charitable Trust
for carrying out benevolent activities. After Yogeshwarji's departure, as an
inspirer of the trust Maa initiated various activities. Besides extending
financial help, Maa started arranging Medical camps, cataract eye operation
camps and donated ambulance, clothing, school dresses, fees and food grain
to the needy and these has become a regular affair now.
Maa also arranges Children
camps and Youth Camps for imbibing moral and cultural values. Sadhana camps
are also organized in India and abroad under her guidance and inspiration.
The sadhna camps have yogic exercises, meditation sittings, bhajans,
stimulating sports, devotional plays, Yogeshwarji's audio/video lectures and
talks by participants. Maa through her writing on the slate provides
instructions to the attendees. |

formed a team of dedicated people to carry out relief activities. Primary
among them was distribution of food, clothing and other necessities to the
affected people, arranging for education and aid for the children affected,
building of 7 new and 35 temporary schools in various villages besides
monetary help. |

Final
Note |
|
Who can comprehend the ways of
the great? How can we, with our limited abilities narrate her infinite power
and grace? We can just bow down at her lotus feet and seek her blessings.
Its a rare in rarest of opportunities to see and come in contact with such
illumined soul and a living legend.
In Shri Yogeshwarji's own
words, "All can not understand and honor her. Those who have righteousness
of previous birth would be able to know and come closer to her. They will
feel benefited and blessed. |
