MAA's DASHRATHACHAL YATRA
An abode of the realized, Dashrathachal is situated at the height of 8000 feet in the holy Himalayas. It is located close to DevPrayag - the famous meeting place of two rivers, Bhagirathi and Alaknanda. From time immemorial, the Himalayas have fascinated spiritual aspirants and accomplished souls alike. Shri Yogeshwarji was no exception.
During November of 1943, Shri Yogeshwarji visited Dashratachal for the first time to perform penance. Undeterred by the Himalayan winter, Shri Yogeshwarji wore only a langoti and strived for the realization of the Supreme Self. While his stay there was memorable due to manifold reasons, it is most remembered as the place where Shri Yogeshwarji first experienced Nirvikalp Samadhi.
Almost 50 years later in 1992, Maa Sarveshwari decided to homage to her master's place of penance. With eight other devotees, Maa Sarveshwari started her pilgrimage to Dashrathachal and accomplished it in 3 days. The following is a photo-illustration of that historic yatra. More than eight years without grains at that time and barefooted, Maa Sarveshwari displayed to the world that determination along with Guru's grace, and love for the divine can make possible seemingly impossible tasks.
