Sannidhi Parva - Day 6

Date: December 28, 2003, Sunday

Today marked the last day of the historic 'Sannidhi Parva'Today was the coldest day of the Parva yet we all did Prabhat Feri (morning walk) through different roads of the Kapura Village.

In the morning session, being the coldest day, after the Pranam we do exercises with Maa.  It was amazing to see Maa doing all the exercises. Her body was as elastic as we ever imagine.

(Above: Maa energizing everyone with exercise)

we had a bhajan by Nisha accompanied by Tejal on sitar and Parth on tabla. Then it was time for a play by NewJersey Dhayn kendra depicting an incident from Maa's childhood (8-9 years old). Rajubhai played role of Kalidaskaka - Maa's father and Upasnaben played role of BhikhiBa - Maa's mother.  Everyone enjoyed this play.   It was directed by Sushilaben (Maa's sister).

As the morning session was about to close, Maa announced that youths - only youths should go outside of the mandap and there are 4 buses waiting for them.  It will take all to an undisclosed location.  Rest of the devotees will head towards the dining mandap. On hearing this, all the youths ran outside but missed the bus.  Fortunately with the help of Ajaybhai, we reached to the location.

Today, near Vyara (approx 6 km from Kapura), a Homeopathic Hospital was being inaugurated.  It was in honour of Maa's Father.  In fact the name of the hospital is 'Kalidas Homeopathic Hospital'.  It is connected with Homeopathic Medical College & Research center.  This is the first such institute where Medical college and Hospital are built together! Maa and members of Maa's family lighted the lamp to mark the opening of the Kalidas Homeopathic Hospital.

After the speeches were given, Guests were given flowers.  Maa's seat was on the center of the stage.  One member of the organization knew Maa very well.  He introduced everyone who Maa is.  Maa invited him to come to Kapura in the Parva.  He also informed the gathering that 'Maa is in Maun(verbal silence) for eight years and in order to communicate, she uses the slate.'

Then the welcome committee offered Shawl to Maa.  One Ben came forward with a shawl.  Maa got up and wrote something on the slate.  Everyone wondered what Maa wrote.  Ben being new to Maa, was little hesitant to follow Maa's instruction.  However, MC of the program came forward and got the meaning.  He said, 'Truly she is Maa.  Only Maa can think this way.  She never keeps anything for herself.  She always gives and gives.  Maa is asking if there is, in the audience, any worker/servant of the research center who has been serving for the longest time.  He/she would come forward and accept the Shawl as Prasad.   Immediately, a name was called out.  This servant had been working here for more than 14 years.  He came forward and Maa put Shawl on him.   Everyone was pleased to see Maa's ways of giving.  There were politician and dignitaries on the stage too.  They too were surprised to see Maa's gesture.

Later, Maa wrote something on a piece of paper.  MC was please to receive this from Maa. He read to the audience.  It was a prayer for the success of the hospital.  Further Maa said 'A thought came to my mind.  There are 11 members from the Bapuji's family here.   Together, we will donate additional 11 lakh rupees (1 lakh each) within a year's time to the hospital.   Everyone clapped to this unexpected donation announcement.  After the program, everyone was served with ice-cream. Then we left for Kapura

Sutariabhai and another singer from Saurastra entertained everyone with Doha and Garaba.  Everyone had great time doing garaba on this last day. Sureshbhai Shah and Dhyankendra of Toronto Presented Plaque to Maa.   This was presented by the youngest member - Uma - to Maa.  Group picture was taken.

Then it was once again time for a play by LA group.  It was from one of Maa's  Bhajan (Shili chhaya Gurudeva ni Re Lol ...).  As each line was sung, player dressed in different roles came one by one.   Each play by LA is truly unique.  This play was out of a Bhajan! Maa too was much surprised, seeing how well it was performed.

Rajubhai showed Maa-Prabhu's website (www.swargarohan.org) to everyone.  As internet connection was not available at Kapura, a CD was prepared and sent by Daxesbhai from LA.

Even though it was getting so late no one wanted to get up.  To add to the excitement, Two sons of Kalyanji - Vijaybhai and Ajaybhai, dressed in traditional Kathiyawadi came on the stage and entertained everyone with their hilarious jokes.  I had never laughed so much for so long.   Everyone must see this when the video comes out.   For more than one hour they kept the whole crowd laughing!  I cannot say enough about their comedy role. They entertained, and educated everyone of who Maa is, what she does, her fasts, her niyams, etc, etc.  As I am writing this I am all smiles!

Sunday was late.   It seemed Maa did not want us to go.   Finally, Maa got up and started to walk.  We thought she was leaving.  Dhoons were being sung as sadhaks followed her.  Maa walked around the hall.  Then she went in the dining hall.  Then finally she came back to main mandap and again took her seat!  Rameshbhai - Jagdipbhai's father was really happy and pleased with the parva.  He proposed to Maa that the land which has been like a heaven for 5 days, be used to for some good purpose.  He offered the land to Maa to use for some education - Gurukul / School or something where Yogeshwarji's work be promoted.  All the members of the parivar whole heartedly agreed to this proposal.  Sanjaybhai, added that he also offers his house.  It might be used as Karyala (Office) of Gurukul/instiute.

Everyone was given Plate with Prasad. By the time everything was concluded it was around 3:00 am!  Still no one felt tired.   Maa said breakfast will be served at 9:00 am and at 9:30 bus will leave for Sompura, village where Bhagwanjibhai and Kanchanben of LA lives.
