Vishwakosh Release CeremonyIt was a proud moment for all of us. Gujarat Vishwakosh Trust, which publishes Vishwakosh (similar to the Encyclopedia Britannica) just released their 17th volume and dedicated it to Shri Yogeshwarji. Vishwakosh is first ever attempt to bring out a comprehensive general purpose encyclopedia in Gujarati language spanning 20 volumes (plus an introductory volume) - covering as many as 169 subjects like art, languages, literature, sciences - physical and social, religion and philosophy, trade and commerce; in short, it covers everything under the sun. Out of these, 16 volumes are already released and well received. Each volume is spread over about 1,000 pages, contributed by more than 250 authors. Shri Yogeshwarji contributed enormously to Gujarati literature by writing more than 100 books on varied topics. Shri Yogeshwarji had an amazing grasp on all varieties of literature, which includes autobiography, biography, question-answer, articles, prose and poems, bhajans, songs, novels, translations, inspirational incidents, character stories etc. What could be a more fitting tribute to Shri Yogeshwarji than this volume? Kudos to Gujarat Vishwakosh Trust for grabbing the opportunity to honor Gujarat's luminous son, Shri Yogeshwarji. It should be noted that Sarvamangal Charitable Trust donated generously to Gujarat Vishwakosh Trust for this noble project. The book release ceremony was held at Ahmedabad. The Chief Guest at the function was Narendra Modi, present Chief Minister of Gujarat. Dr. Arunaben Thakar, who has completed her Ph.D. on Shri Yogeshwarji's literature prepared write up on Shri Yogeshwarji for this Vishwakosh.
