'Bindu' is Yogeshwarji’s collection of songs especially for kids. Shri
Yogeshwarji’s book entitled 'Rashmi' also contains songs and poems for the
kids. Some of the popular songs from “Rashmi” have also found place in this
book.
The book has poems on topics as varied as Motherland India, why people
fight, freedom to topics such as watch, lotus flower, river, sea, cowherd,
moon, etc. The book also comprises songs addressed to the creatures such as
butterfly, parrot, sparrow, cuckoo etc. 'Bindu' also contains some prayers
among which 'Amone Gyān Denārā' and 'Evi Buddhi do Amane' have become
immensely popular and have found place in daily prayers of many schools.
It would be noteworthy to mention how the title “Bindu” was chosen for this
book. Bindu was Narayanbhai Jani’s (schoolmate and a close associate of Shri
Yogeshwarji) daughter. Bindu was extraordinary in her studies and was
associated with number of organizations. Her devotion and love for God was
amazing. At the tender age of 21, Bindu Narayanbhai Jani left this ephemeral
world and departed for heaven.
Bindu was studying in the college at Ahmedabad. On 27th January 1976, the S
T Bus, in which she was traveling from Bhavnagar to Ahmedabad met with an
accident. Out of 70 odd travelers she was the only one who headed for her
final journey. She loved kids and therefore in her fond memory, it was
decided to publish this book. What else could be a fitting tribute for a
person who loved kids?
Filled with devotional songs and rejoicing poems, 'Bindu' will make an
interesting reading.
