On the battlefield of Kurukshetra, Lord Krishna gave an inspiring message to
Arjuna, which has been conserved in the form of “Shrimad Bhagvad Geeta”. The
age-old message holds true today even after centuries, which itself is an
ample justification for putting “Shrimad Bhagvad Geeta” as the jewel crown
among great Indian spiritual scriptures. “Geeta” is divided into 18 chapters
and the 3rd chapter of this spiritual landmark is devoted to “Karma Yoga”.
Shri Yogeshwarji delivered discourses on “KarmaYoga” at the famous Nazar
Baug Palace Ground at Mandvi in the city of Vadodara, Gujarat. The lecture
series was held for 15 days. This book is the text form of the same and is
prepared with the help of audio cassette of the lecture series.
In this awesome inspiring book, Shri Yogeshwarji has narrated innumerable
incidents on how to do karma (action worth doing) without expectation, how
to renounce the fruits of the karma and how to live as an ideal human being
in the present age. Shri Yogeshwarji has described in detail various ways on
how one should perform his/her duty without attachment, how one should serve
selflessly for the benefit of the masses and how novel approach one should
have in performing service to others. Incidents from the lives of great
personalities have been interwoven throughout these book to emphasis the
message. It also gives the reader an insight into his sadhana and
experiences thereof.
As Shri Yogeshwarji puts it in his lectures “Karma Yoga is perhaps one of
the less talked about but extremely important yoga in present day
situations. The need of an hour is not great yogis or saints but selfless
and devoted karmayogis for the upliftment of the society and country as a
whole.”
The book makes interesting and thought provoking reading.
