Yoga is an extraordinary, absorbing and fascinating word. From time
immemorial, Yoga has captivated millions of people not only in India but
masses in different parts of the world. Everyone – whether literate or
illiterate, experienced or inexperienced have their own opinion about Yoga
and its methodology. Some believe that Yoga means Asanas and Pranayams; some
thinks Yoga means Kundalini or Mudras; some believes that Yoga is a mean to
achieve extraordinary powers by which one can foresee future or can become
eternally young or can read other people’s mind. While it is true that with
advancement on the path of Yoga spiritual powers can be achieved, Yoga
itself is not confined in these things. Yoga is much more than that.
Shri Yogeshwarji was a realized Yogi. He dwelled in the Himalayas for more
than 20 years and performed arduous penance. As a result of that he was
blessed with extraordinary spiritual powers. He ventured into the secret
most exercises of Yoga and became a master in it. It’s befitting therefore
for an excellent writer of the caliber of Shri Yogeshwarji to write a book
on his thoughts and advises on the difficult and often misunderstood subject
of Yoga.
In this book, he has written detailed articles on what is mind, how to
control mind, what is meditation and how to perform it, what is kriya Yoga,
what are siddhis that are achieved as a result of advancement on the path of
Yoga etc. The author has also written interesting articles on kundalini,
gayatri mantra, Truth, Non-violence, Shri Aurbindo’s yogic sadhana, Lord
shiva – the master of all Yogis’ etc.
After ‘Yog Darshan’ and ‘Sadhana’, this is Shri Yogeshwarji’s third book
published on Yoga.
