Shri Yogeshwarji was an extraordinary
speaker. He had an amazing ability to describe tough most scriptures in an
easy to understand language. He could treat any complex subject with utmost
diligence instantaneously! Most of the time when he traveled to USA, Canada
and South Africa, he was given subject at the eleventh hour. Yet, it
remained a fact that his mesmerizing lectures enthralled the audiences. Not
only the listeners were captured by his impeccable speech, but his bhajans,
dhoons and Sanskrit verses drew attention.
With more than two decades of penance and
spiritual yearning in the holy Himalayas behind him, he could perfectly
guide any spiritual aspirant. His lectures often contained his astounding
experiences. During his lifetime, he physically met magnanimous souls like
Raman Maharshi, Maa Anandmayi, Mahatma Gandhi, Udiya Baba etc. while in
state of meditation, he came across Sai Baba of Shirdi, Saint Gyaneshwar and
many other souls. Such divine experiences were part and partial of his
lectures.
Shri Yogeshwarji had equal command on
Gujarati, English or Hindi. As per the demand of the devotees, he presented
various topics in suitable languages. Though he treated Vedas, Upanishadas,
Yog Darshan, Ramayana, Mahabharat, Bhagavat among ancient Indian scriptures,
he was considered an authority on Bhagvad Gita. Many of his lectures were
based on various chapters of Bhagvad Gita like Karma Yog, Bhakti Yog,
Atmasanyam Yog, Purshottam Yog etc.
Usually, Yogeshwarji would begin his lecture
with a Sanskrit verse followed by lecture and in the end dhoon. The final
part of his lecture was shanti path, wherein he would sing shlokas and
sometime explain the meaning thereof. Most of his lectures were of 1 hour
duration. After Maa Sarveshwari began accompanying him, she would also sing
her melodious bhajans either at the end or in between the lecture.
From vast collection of Yogeshwarji's
lectures, we have tried to compile a few to begin with. We have also edited
some lectures and presented in part some experiences or talks on specific
subject that we thought would be beneficial to our readers. The list below
