On his steps towards Eternity,
Yogeshwarji came across vivid spiritual experiences. He successfully
accomplished khechari mudra, a difficult exercise of yoga. He cut the vein
under his tongue and managed to touch his palate with his tongue after
strenuous efforts. He lost his body consciousness and had a taste of
divya-ras. During another experience, he saw a divine light (Atma-Jyoti) in
his closed room at night.
In a strange experience at
Uttarkashi, Yogeshwarji felt the weightlessness of body and traversed in the
sky with an unknown siddha. Great saints and sages like Raman Maharshi and
Saint Gyaneshwar blessed him with their darshan. His spiritual sojourn was
marked by meeting with some illuminated souls like Tapovanji Maharaj,
Motilal Brahmachari, Nagaji, Mahatma Shri Krishnashram, Narayan Swami,
Prabhudatta Brahmachari and many more.
In one striking incident on
his way to Yamunotri, Yogeshwarji was revealed the secrets of his various
pre-births in a meditative state. During his later years, the same
information was presented to him by various saints at different places.
He called his mother from
Gujarat and took her to the famous pilgrim places of Gangotri, Badrinath and
Kedarnath. After the pilgrimage, however Mataji (his mother) fell ill and
her situation worsened. In a semi-conscious state, Mataji had a darshan of
Lord Ram. She recovered thereafter and they went further to Ayodhya, Prayag,
Kashi, Vrindavan and returned to Gujarat. Yogeshwarji also met great
Gujarati poet Nhanalal and showed his collection of articles, which was
later published as "Anant Soor".
In the winter of 1945,
Yogeshwarji again sat out for Himalayas but returned half-way from Delhi due
to severe cold. Later on, he sat out for Tiruvannamalai for the darshan of
Raman Maharshi in person. He wished to stay at Ramanashram, but God's wish
was different. |

“Once after the
midnight, I lost the awareness of my body and Raman Maharshi appeared
before me. I had seen his photos earlier so I easily recognized him. I
saw myself standing with him on the seashore of Chawpatty and very
next moment found myself walking with him on the sea. Our bodies were
little above the water. We arrived at his ashram in no time. He took
me to the main hall and made me sit on his couch. I hesitated but he
told me "You don't know how great you are, but I know you; so do not
hesitate." We talked at length on various matters. About half an hour
later, I returned to the wakeful state only to found myself in my
room! The peculiarity of the experience was that he was alive at that
time. He did not left his ashram for years and looked inactive from
outside but he helped innumerable devotees in such marvelous ways. Who
can imagine his great acts of service? "
