In 1970, the birth centenary
year of Gandhi, Yogeshwarji paid his homage to the father of Nation by
dedicating a book entitled 'Gandhi Gaurav'. Morarjibhai Desai, Former Prime
Minister of India wrote the preface and Kakasaheb Kalelkar, a noted writer
wrote the introduction for the book. It should be noted that in 1957,
Yogeshwarji was blessed with the knowledge about the previous birth of
Mahatma Gandhi.
In 1972 Yogeshwarji met an
accomplished saint, Shri Udiyababa. In 1974 Champakbhai, an eye-witness of
Yogeshwarji's long and arduous penance in the Himalayas passed away at the
age of 55. Champakbhai served as as an ideal public servant in the capacity
of the first mayor of Rajkot Municipal Corporation.
In 1975, Yogeshwarji was
invited to the Silver Jubilee Celebration of the Vedanta Sammelan at
Amritsar, where leading saints and scholars immensely appreciated his
lectures. During the same year, emergency was declared and a wave of fear,
atrocity and restlessness spread all over the country. In response to his
prayers, Yogeshwarji was informed by the Mother about the future events that
was to take shape for the well-being of the country.
In November 1979, an
unprecedented incident took place. Yogeshwarji suffered two major heart
attack within a week but managed to survive as per the Divine Mother's wish.
Who can understand Her divine play? The incident became historic in a novel
way. Maa Sarveshwari, Yogeshwarji's ardent devotee and a close disciple
dedicated her life in the service of her spiritual master. She resigned as a
Principal of Sadhana Vidyabhavan, Surat and stayed with him till his last
breath.
After receiving exemplary
service at the hands of his illustrious son as well as from Maa Sarveshwari,
his mother Mataji Jyotirmayi departed for heavenly abode on October 4,1980.
Mataji was also eye witness of his spiritual journey and penance in the holy
Himalayas. She stayed together with her son for close to 32 years.
In 1983 Yogeshwarji selected a
small apartment in Ahmedabad for his stay and named it "SATYAPATH". Today it
contain Yogeshwarji and Mataji's memorabilia. Lot of devotees flock from
all over the world to see a small and beautiful temple which is placed
there. |
