બંધ બારણે ટકોરા મારે તો
શ્યામ તને સાચો ગણું...

બારણાં ઉઘાડી આવે જો અંદર
બેસે જો મારી પાસે....તો શ્યામ તને...
 
રાહ જોઇને થાકી નથી હું
આવજે જરુરથી આજે...તો શ્યામ તને...
 
પોકાર મારો સાંભળીને સાચે
દોડી આવે મારી પાસે....તો શ્યામ તને...
 
માવડી બનીને હીંચકે બેસે
ખોળે મુકાવે માથું....તો શ્યામ તને...
 
પાપી જીવને પાવન કરવા
માનવ રુપે પધારે...તો શ્યામ તને...
 
ધન વૈભવ કે સિદ્ધિ ના માગું
દર્શન આપે પ્રભુ તારું...તો શ્યામ તને...

You open the doors and come inside

Upon hearing my earnest calling

Sit on the swing besides me as my mother

To purify my malign and sinful heart
If You manifest truly…O Krishna! then I believe...
 
I do not crave for wealth, luxury or power

રચના સમયના મનોભાવો

શાસ્ત્રોમાં લખાયું છે કે સાચા સાધકનો પોકાર પ્રભુને પ્રગટાવી શકે છે. પણ વાચનથી એ વાત સાચી મનાય ખરી.

જો સાચે જ મારા ઘરનાં બંધ બારણાંને ઉઘાડીને  તે દિવ્યરૂપે મારી પાસે પધારે તો જ એ વાત માની શકાય. મન ત્યારે જ સંપૂર્ણ રીતે સ્વીકારવા તૈયાર થાય.

મૌનમંદિરના એ બંઘ ઓરડામાં બેઠા બેઠા એના વિચારો જાગ્યા. શ્યામસુંદર ટકોરા મારીને બારણું ખોલીને અંદર આવે, મારી પાસે બેસે, તો ધન કે વૈભવ કશું જ માગવું નથી. આવી ભાવભરી સૃષ્ટિમાંથી આ પ્રાર્થના લખાઈ.

Our scriptures say that a devotee’s sincere call forces the Divine to manifest in physical form. How can I take those mere words for granted without an actual experience?

During my stay at the Maun Mandir (Hari Om Ashram) I was filled with such intense thoughts:  I will only accept this truth if and only if the Divine manifests before me in my room.  I wanted the Divine to knock on my closed doors and walk in.  I would not ask for wealth, luxury, power…nothing; I just wanted to have his heavenly face before me in physical form. 

This bhajan was composed with such thoughts in mind.
