Gheranda Samhita, which means ‘Collection of Gheranda's verses’ is one of the three classic texts on Hatha Yoga, the other two being the Hatha Yoga Pradipika and the Shiva Samhita. Said to be written in late 17th century, Gheranda Samhita is considered as the most encyclopedic and detailed of the three texts. Gheranda Samhita is a literary form of a conversation between Gheranda and Chanda Kapali.
